Background
MIFUMI is an international aid and development agency that has worked over ten years, reducing the burden of poverty by securing basic rights for people living in remote communities of Uganda. MIFUMI supports the needs of and promotes protection for women and children affected by domestic violence and abuse, as well as bride price violations. The organization also works in close collaboration with partners in the diaspora.
Legal Status
The MIFUMI Project is a developmental NGO, women and children's rights organization based in Tororo district. The organization has worked for over ten years to reduce the burden of poverty; addressing issues that hinder development by initiating developmental projects. MIFUMI particularly protects women and children experiencing domestic violence and bride price related violations.
MIFUMI is also a registered limited company (limited by guarantee), registered on 14th June 2006 by the registrar of companies in Kampala under the Companies Act (Cap 110).
