The Mifumi Project

We are truly grateful to all Friends of MIFUMI for the help and support you give us. Surely there is no contribution that is small. Your contributions to this organization have saved and will continue to save the lives of many.

Below are examples of how your contributions are used to promote pro-poor policy:

Domestic violence and bride price violations

$15 prints 340 flyers for mass sensitization of young persons against violence and abuse through our civil clubs

$30 removes a survivor of domestic violence out of danger that could culminate into death

$50 supports a survivor of domestic violence from emergency assistance through the criminal and civil justice system.

Education

$30 provides necessary books and stationery for a primary child for one year

$45 feeds a child in day school for one year

$60 supports a child in day school for one year

$600 supports one child in boarding school for one year (including school fees)

Health

$25 supports an outpatient through MIFUMI health center for one year

$30 improves vision of an impaired patient through the collaboration of MIFUMI with the Benedictine Ophthalmic Center of Tororo

Economic empowerment for survivors of domestic violence

$100 empowers a survivor to begin trade with returns enough to meet basic needs

$200 empowers a survivor to setup a mushroom farm into a self-sustaining initiative
